The last time Lynette shared her story, she’d just been promoted to supervisor after three years as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for America’s Preferred Home Warranty (APHW). Today she sees things with a broader outlook.
“Being a supervisor put a bunch of different things into perspective for me,” Lynette shared. “It’s not all cut and dry, not just ‘You’re a CSR and that’s it.’ We all work together, so it all melds together. We’re all working toward and achieving the same goal.”
Lynette talks with each team member on a regular basis to see how they would like to grow within the company, should they choose to do so. “There are so many opportunities, so one of the main things we strive to do is help identify areas either they or we feel they need to work on, to help them elevate,” she described. “We’ll work with you the best way we can to achieve your personal goals.”
And that attention goes both ways: “The CSRs help us managers succeed as well,” Lynette said. “It’s all one big team to make each position work.”
Teamwork makes the dream work
It has also been really nice working with her superiors and the other supervisors, Lynette shared. “They’re a great group, all really hard workers, and I’ve made friends with all of them,” she said. “I’ve learned a lot, and there are always new things I’m still learning every day.”
While she was helping others to grow, Lynette has grown as well: APHW recognized her as their November 2022 employee of the month, and she’s recently accepted a promotion to Contact Center Assistant Manager. “I feel like every day has prepared me for this next challenge,” she shared.
And none of it could have happened if she hadn’t joined the team back in 2015. “This has definitely been a fun ride. I’m excited to see what the next seven years will bring!”
